Shatrughan Sinha stays in hospital

Actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha, who underwent bypass surgery at a Mumbai hospital, will remain in hospital for a few more days, said doctors on Tuesday.

He underwent the surgery at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on July 18.

"He is doing fine. He will stay in the hospital for a few more days. We will discharge him soon, " Dr Ram Narain, Chief Operating Officer of the hospital, told media on Tuesday.

He was admitted to the hospital in Andheri on July 2 after he complained of breathlessness. Medical examination revealed he had a severe allergic respiratory reaction due to the ongoing painting work in his house.

During medical tests, blockages were found in his coronary arteries for which he had to undergo the surgery.



The 66-year-old's wife Poonam, daughter Sonakshi and sons Luv and Kush are taking care of him.
