b>Ekta Kapoor might not make her ambitious TV show based on the love story of Bajirao and Mastani

It looks like Sanjay Leela Bhansali finally has a reason to smile. After much ado, buzz is that Ekta Kapoor has finally scrapped her production house`s grand epic show Bajirao Mastani. Ekta had announced the project last year and work was scheduled to start early this year.

Back then, SLB was said to be not too happy with Ekta`s plans, given that he was planning a film on the romance between the two lovers. But Ekta was unperturbed and decided to carry on with her project. However, the situation then changed.

A Marathi channel too came up with a show on the same lines. Our source says, `Ekta was about to begin work on the pre-production. However, thanks to this other show, she thought that there would be no novelty factor left in her version.`

Incidentally, the response for the other show was also not great and therefore she decided to not go ahead with her project.
