Actor postpones his film shoot schedule by a day, to celebrate sister Nikhat's 50th birthday

It looks like his upcoming action flick is yet to receive a green signal from Aamir Khan. If only for one day! Buzz is that Aamir will be joining the cast and crew of the film in Chicago, a day later. The reason being that the actor's family will be busy enjoying a get-together to celebrate his sister Nikhat's 50th birthday.

This apparently is Aamir's Rakhi present for Nikhat.

Our source says, `Aamir's sister is celebrating her 50th birthday on August 3 but the actor was scheduled to leave for Chicago on the same night with the entire team. He was planning to celebrate Rakhi which falls on the previous day. However, the entire family planned to have a lavish party in the night.`


The source also points out that since Aamir has been busy juggling his TV show, Reema Kagti's forthcoming film as well as his action flick all at the same time, he hasn't been able to spend quality time with his family.

The source adds, `When he heard about the party, he requested Victor (Vijay Krishna Acharya, director) and Aditya Chopra if he would be allowed to leave a day late. Of course, he didn't want to disrupt shooting or upset any schedule.

Victor and Aditya were more than accommodating and felt Aamir could join the shoot on August 6. Aamir will now leave on the night of August 4 and attend the family reunion.` The official spokesperson of Aamir Khan confirmed the news and said, `Yes, the family reunion is happening.`
