Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur are busy brushing up their singing skills for their sequel to 'Aashiqui'

After Amitabh Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh and Ayushmann Khurrana and many others of their ilk, Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur will be the most recent actors to sing for their own films.

Both have been cast for the sequel of the 1990 superhit film Aashiqui. The film portrays them as musicians and director Mohit Suri admits that the reason they were cast was primarily because both of them play musical instruments in real-life.

Shraddha has been playing the piano since her childhood, while Aditya strums the guitar. In order to prep up their vocal skills, the actors are now taking lessons.

The actress, who is a huge Lata Mangeshkar fan, says, `I've been playing piano for more than a decade now and I can say I'm well-versed in it. As of now, we are taking singing classes too but the final decision of whether we perform rests solely on Mohit.`

Incidentally, Mohit says the reason behind casting the two actors is that both have experience in the medium. `I wanted a leading cast that would be familiar with musical instruments as the plot and role clearly demands it. I'm aware that both Shraddha and Aditya are practicing hard on their voice,` sums up the director.
