For a scene to depict the abject humiliation during the police torture in the life of real-life slain lawyer Shahid Azmi for Hansal Mehta's Shahid, actor Rajkumar Yadav who plays the lawyer, concealed nothing from the camera. This makes Shahid the only Hindi film to flash bonfide male nudity.

Yadav, who is known for his performance in Ragini MMS, says he had no qualms going completely nude for the camera.

`I felt no shame. I only felt the character's pain. I wasn't thinking of how much of my nudity was on display. I think once I took all my clothes off I was better able to understand the humiliation of my character in police torture.`

While shooting the sequence, Mehta cleared the set of all technicians except the cameramen. But Rajkumar Yadav invited them back. `I wanted to feel the embarrassment and mortification of being watched naked by people. It helped me to understand my character's torture better.`
