There are reports that some paranoid residents of Los Angeles mistook Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty for a suspect behind the World Trade Center attack of September 11, and reportedly assaulted him. The rumor is that the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), in true Lethal Weapon style, rushed to extricate Shetty from what appeared to be a certain brawl.

Shetty is currently in LA shooting for Sanjay Gupta`s Kaante, a remake of the Hollywood film Reservoir Dogs.The film also stars Mahesh Manjrekar, Sanjay Dutt, Lucky Ali, Kumar Gaurav and Amitabh Bachchan. Shetty plays a bouncer, and for this role, he reportedly had to shed his new lean look and rebuild his hefty physique. He also had to grow a thick beard.
