The Pakistan Censor Board has reportedly banned Salman Khan's latest release 'Ek Tha Tiger' (ETT) in the country.

Replying to a fan's query on Twitter, director Kabir Khan posted: "True... @BeingTeJan: #EkThaTiger gets banned in Pakistan. It ws abt peace & friendship between Indo-Pak."

"Pak censor said No @o_chandio: please confirm us is E.T.T releasing In pakistan...sIr Buht pareshaan hoon," he tweeted confirming the news to another fan.

Khan said the Pakistan Censor Board did not give any reason for banning the film.

"They didn't give any reason @niinja41: bt why they said no," he replied to a follower on the micro-blogging site.

He said there is not the slightest chance for the release of the movie in the neighbouring country.

"Sorry :-( @RiaaSheikh: Is there some hope? thoda sa bhi nahi? :( We waited for almost a year for the movie," Khan posted for another fan.

The film was to release with 35 prints in Pakistan on Eid and, as per trade analysts, could have made a business of Rs 10 crore in the country.

The film was initially declared anti-Pakistan film, for which the concerned authorities banned the screening of the film. Later the film received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for a special screening for the members of the Pakistan Censor Board.

Pertinently, 'Ek Tha Tiger', which was released in India on Aug 15, made a business of Rs 32 crore on the opening day itself.

The film starring Salman and Katrina Kaif in the leads is based on the activities of Indian and Pakistan spy agencies -RAW and ISI.
