'Top Gun' director jumps to death, Bollywood salutes his 'pure genius'

"Pure genius" - that's how Bollywood celebrities like Karan Johar, Madhur Bhandarkar and Neha Dhupia remember Hollywood filmmaker Tony Scott, who ended his life by jumping off a bridge in Los Angeles.

He jumped off the bridge in San Pedro Sunday afternoon, reported The Los Angeles Times.

Tony, brother of director Ridley Scott, is credited with biggies like "Top Gun", "Enemy of the State", "Beverly Hills Cop II", "True Romance" and "Crimson Tide".

Bollywood celebrities mourned the loss of the filmmaker, and took to Twitter to share their memories of his work.
