The much-awaited film, The Rising, starring Aamir Khan, is going to be 'different' in its promotion strategy as well, according to the co-producer of the film, Bobby Bedi.

"We have finalised the film's marketing strategy. It will be promoted through a unique advertisement campaign," Bedi said.

He would not divulge details, and said, "The advertisement series is special and you have to wait till it is out."

"We are also talking with our international distributors about the release of the film," he said, adding that the exact release date would be finalised within two weeks. The film is scheduled for a June release.

Rising is set in the backdrop of the 1857 Sepoy Mutiny and portrays the lives of freedom fighter Mangal Pandey (Aamir) and his British commander William Gordon (Toby Stephens).

The period epic, estimated to cost $20 million, has been jointly produced by Britain's Capitol Films, Mumbai's Entertainment One, Kaleidoscope Films and Ketan Mehta's Maya Movies.

Shot in Hindi and English, the film has been directed by Ketan Mehta.

The film also stars Rani Mukerji and Amisha Patel.
