Asked about the sequel, Shah told: "I have not got clarity on this yet. I have been receiving calls since past two days about this. The production house has not yet approached me for the sequel yet."
Shah admits that "soon after the release of 'Chalo Dilli', there were talks about the sequel to the film, but for me the story of 'Chalo Dilli' has ended".
"I couldn't see the story beyond that. But now if they want to take it ahead, then let's see. Honestly, I'm clueless about it right now," he added.
"Chalo Dilli" was the first film made under Lara Dutta's production house Bheegi Basanti Entertainment, in association with Eros International and Lara's husband tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi's Big Daddy Productions.
The story of two mismatched travellers on the road from Mumbai to Delhi via Jaipur and other places in Rajasthan, it featured an unusual pair - Lara and actor Vinay Pathak in the lead.
Recently, Lara said she would invest money in a sequel to the movie, only if the script turns out to be better than the original.
