The exchange of talent between the southern and the Hindi film industry is working well for entertainment world, actress Madhhurima feels, adding that southern movies provide a platform to Hindi actors to gain varied experience.

"In the south, 80 percent of people are from Mumbai. South is a good learning experience for Hindi actors. They learn a lot and experience lot of characters. And since they also work in a place where they don't know the language, they work harder, " Madhhurima told.

A law graduate, Madhhurima has done southern films like "Mouna Ragam", "Saradaga kasepu" and "Orange".

The actress is looking forward to the release of her Bollywood film "Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal" helmed by Priyadarshan. Having worked in a Telugu comedy earlier, the actress explains that the treatment of comedy is different in the two industries.

"I have done a comedy in Telugu. But this ('Kamaal...') and that are different. Telugu accent and the way of creating a comedy is different. They are louder and quicker in creating dialogues. It's like creating a chaos kind of thing there.

"Also, they have slapstick comedy. Here (in Bollywood) it is more genuine - you see the situation and you feel like laughing. It's not like you are doing something deliberately, " said the 25-year-old.

The toughest part for Madhhurima was to adapt Bollywood style of comedy.

"I had this impression in my head of comedy that its loud and all. And Priyadarshan sir told me that I need to react to what the actor is saying. I had lost touch with this. He said, 'It's a situational comedy, you need to understand the film', " she added.

"Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal", releasing Sep 28, also features Nana Patekar, Shreyas Talpade and Paresh Rawal. Madhhurima plays Paresh's daughter and Shreyas' love interest in the film.

Not worried about the pool of talent entering showbiz nowadays, she said: "There are a lot of opportunities, but at the end of the day only people with talent succeed. You need to consider it as a competition, you need to work harder. The best thing is to prepare yourself, give your best and leave rest on fate."
