Sujata Kumar, the elder sister of actress-singer Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, features as Sridevi's sister in debutant director Gauri Shinde's upcoming film

The actress-model has been seen both on TV as well as in Bollywood. She admits, `I didn't have any creditable role under my belt; at least not until Gauri offered me the film. My earlier projects are not worthy of mention and where I had meaty roles the film flopped miserably.

An actor's talent is showcased only with a box office hit or if the film has won critical acclaim.` She bagged the role with a standard audition. `I remember thinking that this opportunity would be worth my time playing Sridevi's sister was too good to resist.`

After working with Sri, she has realised why filmmakers like Shekhar Kapur and Ram Gopal Verma were so enthralled by her. `Her innocence is the most delightful thing about her. She is so grounded that the cast was delighted with her encouragement.`

Sujata's last B-Town outing was Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish. `I made my acting debut late in life. It began just for the heck of it. I had my portfolio done and began modelling. I had friends in the media who put me on to production houses.`

Apart from acting, Sujata, a cancer survivor, is also a hypnotherapist and past life regressionist. `I am also a life coach that aids in personal and professional empowerment.`
