Director Sanjay Gadhvi compares young actors with little children and says they need same kind of pampering and caring on the sets.

The director has worked with many newcomers in his past films.

"If you look back at my films 'Tere Liye' and 'Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai', every film has featured newcomers or not-so-old stars. I love working with newcomers. New actors are like children, you need to take care of them and pamper them," Gadhvi told.

"But at the end of the day they are actors, and you need to see how available they are and how receptive they are towards the direction," he added.

The director began his career with 2000 film "Tere Liye", which had six newcomers. His next film, "Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai" saw Uday Chopra, Tulip Joshi and Jimmy Shergill, working on the film in the initial stages of their career.

Later, he helmed films like "Dhoom" and "Dhoom 2", with actors like Abhishek Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai.

"The stars give you the experience and comfort level but a newcomer has things like hunger and time. You can mould them. You have to guide them a lot more," he said.

Though Gadhvi's films "Tere Liye" and "Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai" had an average performance at the box office, action thrillers "Dhoom" and "Dhoom 2" brought him into limelight.

After the success of "Dhoom", the director admits he felt under pressure with audience expectations.

"Yes, I felt pressure. I realised the power of 'Dhoom' when I made 'Kidnap'. People didn't want that from me. But I don't have to keep making films in the genre I am most well known for."

"I want to make films to feel good, have fun while making it and give the producer a big hit. And also to contribute to an actor's career," he added.

Gadhvi is now looking forward to the release of his new film "Ajab Gazabb Love", produced by Vashu Bhagnani. The film, releasing Oct 24, stars Jackky Bhagnani and newcomer Nidhi Subbaiah.

Talking about the film, the director said: "I would be lying if I say that the film is absolutely different. It's a regular, nice, feel good film. There will be a boy and girl who will fall in love. It's a regular romantic comedy. The direction which comes from it, interpretation of situation, character behaviour, music which my composers compose are different from the rest."
