Hum Tum and producer Yash Chopra's drama Veer Zaara have been nominated in more than ten categories, including Best Film and Best Direction, by NRIs all over the
world for the upcoming Bollywood Films Awards.
The nominations for the award, which will be attended by the who's-who of the Indian film fraternity in New Jersey on April 30, are based on the result of polling among NRIs
across the world, including the USA, Europe, Canada, UK, Africa, Middle-East and Asia.
Amitabh Bachchan, Salman, Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Hritik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan will vie for the Best Actor category while Kareena Kapoor, Preity Zinta, Rani
Mukherjee, Shilpa Shetty and Urmila Matondkar have been nominated for the Best Female Lead, Chief Executive Officer of the Awards Kamal Dandona said while
announcing the nominations.
Veteran actors Vyjantimala and Shammi Kapoor will receive the 'Lifetime Achievement' Award.
Choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan's Main Hoon Na, Ashutosh Gowarikar's Swadesh and Sanjay Gadhvi's Dhoom are the other contender's for the Best Film
Category.
