Film distributors have their hopes pinned on Salman Khan-Sneha Ullal starrer "Lucky" to bring a change to the industry's present lean phase.
"We are counting on the film to mark the revival of the box-office. 'Lucky' is also the first major release during the vacation period which is why all exhibitors have pinned great
hopes on it," Arun Sharma, Inox's programming manager was quoted as saying.
Besides, Salman-starrers fetch an exceptional opening at the box-office irrespective of their content value, he said, adding that he was looking at the possibility of scheduling
the film for multiple screens in his theatre chain.
Produced by T-Series and Sohail Khan Productions, "Lucky" is set to release April 8.
"The music is already a chartbuster, the promos have fetched an excellent response. We are looking at the film to rake in rich returns at the box-office," said Mukesh Desai
of T-series.
