Mohit, described by his mentor as the "perfect star material on the lines of Hrithik Roshan", will tie the knot May 11. "That's right, Sir," Mohit said.
Who's the lucky girl?
"She's an Australia-based Maharashtrian Pandit, Sai Parundhare Johar," Mohit says proudly. "I met her in Mumbai about two and a half years back. She used to do some modelling.
"But now she's not part of the entertainment industry. She's done her MBA and she's now doing her Ph.D. So I've two events to look forward to - my marriage and my first release."
Mohit seems totally taken up with love.
"I think Sai brought me luck. In-between I was not happy. I wasn't getting work. Then 'James' happened. Again the wait started. I had nothing to do except go to the gym and wait for the film to start. Sometimes I'd get frustrated. Thank god, I found Sai. She kept me grounded."
Mohit Ahlawat would be the latest among a long line of superstars who've tied the knot in and around the time when they courted stardom.
Amitabh Bachchan married Jaya Bhaduri soon after the release of his career-making vehicle "Zanjeer". Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri became man and wife just before he made his grand entry in "Deewaana". Aamir Khan got lucky with "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak" after he tied the knot with his steady sweetheart Reena.
Will Sai prove as lucky for Mohit Ahlawat? He laughs gently. "Can't say. Every individual has his own destiny. Let's see what happens to me."
