"We were to go to the Swiss Alps to shoot a song with Katrina (Kaif) in chiffon saris. He discussed the saris with passion and used to tell me that 'I want you to be there at the shoot'," tweeted Malhotra.
Chopra breathed his last here Sunday evening following multi-organ failure. He had almost completed the shooting of "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" with one of his favourite actors Shah Rukh Khan.
The movie, which will release on the auspicious occasion of Diwali Nov 13, also features Katrina and Anushka Sharma in key roles.
Earlier, there were speculations about who among the two ladies would be seen in the chiffon sari, a trademark of many Yash Chopra films.
Malhotra, who gave his contemporary touch to the looks of Chopra's actresses in films like "Dil To Pagal Hai" and "Veer-Zaara", says he would miss him immensely.
"I will truly miss my most favourite director and incredible person that Yashji was... I knew him closely and have seen his passion for cinema, colours and costumes. Romance in Indian cinema won't be the same without Yashji," he wrote.
