Fashion designer Subarna Ray Chaudhuri to style Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor's upcoming film

Costume designer Subarna Ray Chaudhuri (Parineeta, Eklavya and Lage Raho Munnabhai) will do the styling for Ali Abbas Zafar's upcoming film starring Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.

Subarna, who considers, period films her forte, feels the Yash Raj project is very much up her alley. Says a source, `The film has a 1970s setting and is based in Kolkata the city where Subarna is from. So it is an area she is familiar with and comfortable in.`

Says Subarna, `A period film interests and excites me more than a modern love story. One can easily go to the US or UK and pick up the latest trends it is the easy way out.`

Subarna began her career as a executive producer with a TV channel. After being encouraged by her ex-brother-in-law, Bengali actor Prosenjit, she decided to concentrate on costume designing completely.
