Liquor and money are said to corrupt the human mind and that is what the film, Kachchi Sadak, wants to show.

The film revolves around the life of liquor barons of north India. The feud in the family as well as with the politicians forms the main plot of the film. Also, the movie throws light on the wrong influence of liquor on the youth.

‘Kachchi Sadak' not only brings forth the evil of the addiction but also throws light on the plight of those caught in the greed-trap of earning tremendous wealth, through wrong means.

Aman Verma, is playing the role of a lawyer, who tries to broker peace between a politician played by Reema Lagoo and an affluent and influential liquor baron Arjunamdev.

Actress Madhu of Roja fame is playing a widow belonging to Rajasthan. Her transition from young widow to re-marriage is central to her character. She is married off to Mukesh Tiwari. The film showcases the culture of the region, as it is even today.

"After getting married, the male becomes chauvinist, he thinks that he has done a favour on her by marrying her and it is only a second marriage. This is all about the emotional abuse, not the physical abuse about which we often hear...how she copes up with it, she lives with it, she doesn't quit and then how her son reacts to the whole situation. This is the whole story," said Madhu.

Madhu, also talked about her plans to stay in Bollywood and seek roles of substance. She has made a comeback in the celluloid world after a gap of almost five years. Madhu is married to Anand Shah and had quit Industry but could not stay away from acting for long. With the support from her husband and mother-in-law, she decided to make a comeback with this film.

"This is not a politics based film but we have touched a part of the politics which is relatively new. It is not out and out political drama. This is about five young men and one of them is our male protagonist. Another special feature of this film is that it has been shot in fresh locations where I believe no other film has been shot before. We have shot it in the urban part of northern India, to be precise Rajasthan, Jodhpur," said movie director Sanjay Singh about his debut film.

The movie would hit the theatres next month.
