Director A.R.Murugadoss recent tamil blockbuster Thuppakki (The Gun) is all set to be remade in Hindi with self-made 'Khiladi' superstar
Akshay Kumar in the lead.
According to the hinted sources, the film being remade in Bollywood with Akshay Kumar essaying the role that Vijay did in the Tamil film.
A.R.Murugadoss has already remade on of his films 'Ghajini' in hindi with Aamir Khan. Ghajini was a money spinner by
creating a 100 Crore club in Bollywood.
The film Thuppakki tells the story of an Army Major Jagdish who returns to Mumbai for
his Engagement and finds out about a dreaded Terrorist Group who are executing Bombs in the City. Major Jagdish then forms a team of
12 members to finish that Terrorist Group.
As far as the Tamil Version of the movie goes, It is still running to packed houses in South. Earlier, Murugadoss was also planning a
project with superstar Salman Khan but some how the things didn't materialize.
This time, The director confirms his Thuppakki
remake with Akshay Kumar and most probably Katrina Kaif pairing opposite with Akshay. The female lead in the tamil version is played by
Kajal Agarwal who debuted in Bollywood with Ajay Devgn's Singham.
Apparently, Kajal Agarwal is also playing female lead in
Akshay Kumar's 'Special Chabbis' which is directed by Neeraj Pandey.
The shooting of Special Chabbis is already wrapped up and once the promotion begins, Thuppakki will start rolling.
