"It is comfortable. When you work with your family members, it becomes a very homely atmosphere. But in spite of this, we work professionally," he told in an interaction.
"On the set, Salman Khan is a big star and I am a debutant director. He expects me to be at my best and I, as a first time director, expect him to give me all his expertise. We agree on many things and disagree on many. We debate, which is sometimes a discussion and sometimes an argument," he added.
"Dabangg 2" is the sequel to the 2010 blockbuster film "Dabangg".
Salman and Arbaaz's father Salim Khan is looking into the distribution of the film, which releases Dec 21.
But does having a star like Salman and a franchise like "Dabangg" make Arbaaz confident of good collections?
"Collections take care of themselves if you make a good film. If you make a good film, collections will happen. You can't keep thinking of that and make the film...I don't know how everyone else make films, but I can't," he said.
"Salman Khan is a big star and he has a big fan following. A lot of people want to watch him. But with that it is also your duty to make a good film. It's not like you can take everything for granted and say that it's Salman Khan and 'Dabangg' and people will come to watch the film," he said.
"We have put in sincere and honest efforts to make a good film...so if these things add to his fan following, it will be great...this is our effort," he added.
Arbaaz says he would like to work with other actors and directors as well.
"I am just into my career right now. This is my second film as a producer and I am directing it as well. I will be working with a lot of other actors as well. As long as we are doing great work in the family is wonderful, but I would like to work outside," he said.
