"I would call 'Akash Vani' a legend. Till now, we talk of 'DDLJ' and 'Dil To Pagal Hai', but now 'Akash Vani' will make its mark," the 25-year-old said here Wednesday at the first-look launch of the film.
Pathak's last production, "Pyaar Ka Punchnama", narrated the after effects of falling in love. "Akash Vani" too tackles the subject of love, but he insists both are completely different films.
"The story of 'Akash Vani' has nothing to do with that of 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama'. It is a different story. It is not like the love story that we have seen till now," he said.
"There is a bit of a social issue in the film. People will love it. I believe the female audience will love this film a lot," he added.
The film features actors Kartik Tiwari and Nusrat Bharucha, who played Rajat and Neha in "Pyaar Ka Punchnama".
"Akash Vani" is being directed by Luv Ranjan. It is set to release Jan 18 next year.
