After actress Nandita Das, Amole Gupte is set to take over the reigns of the Children's Film Society of India (CFSI). The filmmaker says he is honoured to be a part of it.

"It is about the agenda of Children's Film Society of India (CFSI), it is honourable to be part of it. I cannot doubt the qualities of it. Because I am very well connected with the children I will only try to carry it forward," Gupte told IANS.

Gupte is known for making critically acclaimed children-oriented films like "Taare Zameen Par" and "Stanley Ka Dabba".

As he prepares to take on the responsibility of the CFSI chairperson, Gupte is all praise for Nandita and says she did a wonderful job during her tenure.

"I believe Nandita has done a wonderful job before. I hope to bring forth many more Gattus and Stanleys," he said.
