Actress Sonam Kapoor has been roped in to play the female lead in the remake of the 1980 hit "Khubsoorat". Before starting the shoot, the young actress reportedly wants to take tips from Rekha who played a chirpy and fun-loving girl in the original.

"She wants to understand the character well and take Rekha's advice how to go about it," a source said.

The original classic comedy was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. Shashanka Ghosh is expected to helm the new version, which will be produced by Sonam's father Anil and sister Rhea.
