Gracing an event here that unveiled the anniversary issue of a home decor and interior magazine, Raveena stressed the fact that a home should appear "lived-in and warm" and should not feel like a hotel.
"I mostly see the comfort level. I have a family, so I see to it that my children and husband are comfortable. A home should have its own atmosphere," said Raveena, who was last seen on screen in the Puri Jagannath directed "Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap" opposite Amitabh Bachchan in 2011.
"There should be a difference between a hotel and a home. A home should look lived-in and warm. There should be positive vibes. And that is what I have tried to do in my house," added Raveena, who made her debut in the 1991 hit "Patthar Ke Phool".
Among the top actors of the 1990s, she had hits like "Mohra" in 1994, "Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi" in 1996 and "Ziddi" in 1997.
Later, she received critical acclaim for performances in films like "Aks" in 2001 and "Satta" in 2003. She won the National Award for Best Actress for her performance in Kalpana Lajmi's "Daman" in 2001.
Earlier this year, she made her small screen debut with a chat show called "Isi Ka Naam Zindagi".
Raveena married film distributor Anil Thadani in 2004 and is mother of a seven-year-old daughter and a son, who is five.
