Saif Ali Khan on his equations with his directors, the husband-tag and looking West for inspiration

It is almost a ritual in the Khan parivaar to head to Gstaad every year. Listed as begum Kareena Kapoor's favourite holiday destination, the Swiss town automatically became their honeymoon spot as well. Taking a short break from post-marriage bliss, Saif Ali Khan talks to us from Gstaad about his heroines, working in sequels and his future projects.

How's the Swiss sojourn been?
Very cold but at the same time very beautiful! It is very different this time as we are completely into healthy eating and healthy drinking with very little partying. We hope by the time we are back we would be fitter than before (laughs).

How has marriage changed you as a person?
It is a completely different ball game when from being a boyfriend you become a husband. Expectations change and so do your reactions. If I start talking about the exciting and not-so-exciting things, you will need a few more pages.

You are working in Tigmanshu Dhulia's next. We heard you don't get along with him. True?
Please ask Tigmanshu about this... I love him to core. I hate to question my directors. If I start doing that then I will be in a huge mess. I'm an actor, not a director. My directors have more sense of cinema than me.

You will be working with Sonakshi Sinha for the first time in the film.
I look forward to working with her. Not many are aware that I have worked with her dad Shatrughan Sinha in one of my earlier films in 1996, where he played my father.

How's your next production starring Kunal Khemu as well as you shaping up?
We have actually pushed the envelope with this film are very proud of that. We just have to give the finishing touches to the film. We will shoot that in a couple of weeks.

Your next film with Abbas-Mustan is your first-ever sequel.
When earlier I had suggested that there should be a sequel to Main Khiladi Tu Anari people laughed at me. Look at the West, they are making so many sequels. Imagine a sequel to Sholay would have been so cool!

Was it easy to reprise your character Ranveer in the film after four years?
Ranveer was the easiest role of my career. It was for the first time I played the role of a mature man. And so as far as acting was concerned, I was on a holiday.
