Helping hands are better than praying lips! Geeta Basra would say yes as she recently found herself in an emergency situation high above the ground.
While flying to Rajkot, an elderly man seated next to her suffered a cardiac arrest. The actress not only took control of the situation but also helped revive the man before doctors could arrive at the scene.
Geeta, who was on the way to Rajkot to promote her upcoming film helmed by Anand Kumar in which she has an item song, boarded an early morning flight to Gujarat over the weekend. But she was in for a rude shock.
`Geeta boarded the flight and just minutes after take-off, the man next to her started feeling uneasy.
Soon he collapsed and Geeta immediately called for the cabin crew. She also tried to comfort the man by rubbing his hands and trying to keep him conscious,` says a source close to her.
Turns out the co-passenger had suffered a mild heart attack. And as soon as they landed, he was rushed to the hospital.
Says Geeta, `This was one of the scariest incidents I've witnessed. Luckily it was a short flight and so help arrived faster.` The actress apparently even called up the man later in the day to check on his condition. `Thankfully, he was doing fine,` signs off the starlet.
