Says the mortified moviemaker. `I've never got into a scuffle with anyone. It just so happened that we were at this very crowded mall where the bouncers couldn't control the crowds. One of them pushed me. He didn't recognize me and probably thought I was a fan of Chitrangda. If someone pushes you, don't you push him back? It was no big deal. `
Though Sudhir seems to be going on an over-drive with the marketing and promotion of Inkaar he disagrees he's over-doing it. `I did more publicity and promotion for my last film Yeh Saali Zindagi. It's just that our producers Viacom 18 are stage-managing the events very well, so it all seems more visible. `
On Monday evening Sudhir close friends from the film industry saw Inkaar and went ga-ga over it.
Says Sudhir happily, `Farhan Akhtar, Hrithik Roshan and his wife Suzanne, Ritesh Sidhwani, Rohit Bal, Preity Zinta and Abhishek Kapoor saw it and they loved it. What gratified me was that everyone is getting the point. My film conveys an intensity if Shakespearean proportions.
I always like to build up a dramatic tension in my films. This tension is good thing. It conveys the rich textured quality of life that I try to capture in my actors. A lot of what Chitrangda and Arjun convey in Inkaar is actually me. `
