Remember Soniya Mehra? Daughter of the late yesteryear star Vinod Mehra, she made her debut in the 2007 film Victoria No 203 - a remake of the 1970s hit. The film proved to be a dud and Soniya vamoosed from the big screen.
The youngster was later seen in a brief role in Ekk Main Aur Ekk Tu followed by buzz that she was to feature in a film with Abhay Deol but it never took off.
It looks like Soniya is now looking at B-Town anew. She has been cast in Ekta Kapoor's sequel to her 2011 thriller directed by Bhushan Patel.
Says a source, `Though the makers have only announced Sunny Leone's name in the cast so far, Soniya too features in a pivotal role. The cast has been told to keep mum about the details of the project.`
Soniya was barely two years old when her father passed away and she was brought up by her mother Kiran's family in Kenya. After completing her education in London, she moved to Mumbai keen to follow her father's footsteps.
As reported 'Lost and found' (Hitlist, January 12), Ekta's former pal Anita Hassanandani apart from TV actor Karan Mehra and newbie Sahil Prem also feature in the film.
