The petite and chirpy actress Shruti Seth, who is active in TV and films, says the role she played in "Raajneeti" is her favourite because it shocked many.

Often seen as pretty faced good girl, her "Raajneeti" role was quite a long take-off. She featured as a party worker who was ready to go to any length to get a ticket to contest election.

"Among all my film roles, 'Raajneeti' remains my favourite. It was a complete departure from the kind of work I have earlier done, " Shruti told.

The 35-year-old, who has featured in movies like "Fanaa", "Ta Ra Rum Pum", and "Slumdog Millionaire", says it was a tough role.

"It has been the most difficult role I have ever played. I clearly shocked many people and I think my purpose was served, " said the actress who is married to director Danish Aslam who made "Break Ke Baad".

Shruti was last seen in 2011 movie "My Friend Pinto".
