The latest hot actor in Bollywood, Randeep Hooda has been signed for Sajid Nadiadwala's directorial debut Kick, Confirmed Hooda's spokesperson. The remake of the South film by the same name has Salman Khan in the lead. Kick is likely to take off in August this year.

The film also has Sonakshi Sinha playing the female lead in the film. The original Telugu version of the film had Ravi Teja and Shaam in the lead roles. Salman Khan will reprise the role played by Ravi Teja and Randeep will enact the role which was played by Shaam respectively.

Author Chetan Bhagat is re-writing the screenplay of the film according to the taste of North-India Hindi speaking belt. Kick is a story of a Modern-Day Robin hood thief (Played by Salman Khan) who Robs dirty politicians for the sake of getting a 'Kick'.


Randeep Hooda will play a strict No-Nonsense cop who is assigned by Indian Government to nab this Thief. Hooda's forthcoming releases include Murder 3, Shooter, John Day, Unglee and Imtiaz Ali's Highway.
