I feel in life people forget to be appreciative and thankful. I want to be thankful to everyone for giving me chance in their films. There are millions of people who are so talented but don't get a break in the industry," Vivek told.
The actor who essayed memorable performances in films like 'Saathiya', 'Masti', 'Omkara' and 'Shootout at Lokhandwala', has of late delivered a series of flops including films like 'Mission Istanbul', 'Prince', 'Kurbaan', 'Kismat Love Paisa Dilli' and others.
"I am here in the industry for close to ten years now. I have won praises for most of my performances, won awards, made a lot of money and earned a lot of respect and love.
I have got so many things that I am thankful to everyone rather than complaining for things that did not happen," the actor said. Vivek, who entered Bollywood in Ram Gopal Verma's 'Company, feels that happiness in Bollywood context must not be linked to how much a film is raking in at Box Office.
"For me the important thing in life is to stay happy. One must learn to be happy not depending on anything else and not put conditions for being happy. I think one must not connect things like if my film makes Rs 100 crore or Rs 200 crore then I will be happy.
It is a silly thing now," the actor said. When asked if he regrets doing some films in his career, Vivek said, "I don't regret doing any films. If it is a flop what can I do and if a hit what will I say. You can't change your opinion on anything just on the success or failure of a film. My films have been flop and I accept it, I worked hard for all of them," he said.
Post Sanjay Gupta's 'Shootout at Lokhandwala', none of Vivek's movie did well. "After 'Shootout Lokhandwala', I partied for one year... I did not do any work then I did 'Mission Istanbul' which was a flop, then I did 'Prince' it made money but was not a hit, 'Rakta Charitra' did well in south but not here.
I did 'Kurbaan', unfortunately it too did not do well," Vivek said. The actor will soon be in Kumar Taurani's romantic-crime home production 'Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story', releasing February 15 and political thriller 'Zilla Ghaziabad' which is set to hit the screens on February 22.
He is also working with Rakesh Roshan in his much-awaited superhero science fiction 'Krrish 3' slated for November release and in Indra Kumar's adult comedy 'Grand Masti' in 2014.
