One of the actors after receiving the message laughed aloud saying, `I myself am struggling, how can I get someone else work?
Though I find it funny that people have become so desperate for work that they contact random people for work. I don't even know her.`
The next time Lauren darts off a text message she better be sure that the person is known to her!
I want to take Bollywood dance to US
International dance reality show winner Lauren Gottlieb is "in love with Bollywood" and wants to popularise Bollywood dance in the US with her debut Hindi movie Remo D'Souza-directed "ABCD - Anybody Can Dance".
A trained dancer, Lauren is an American and has featured in various TV shows. Now she is trying her luck in Hindi films.
"I want to take Bollywood style of dancing to the west through my film. I want everyone to see the film there, this will bring them closer to understanding Bollywood," she told.
"ABCD", the country's first 3D dance film and coming out Friday, reportedly is on the lines of "Step Up" series and Lauren feels comparison to the Hollywood venture is inevitable.
"You will naturally compare because both are dance films. But 'ABCD' has something different. It is very raw and shows Indian culture and heritage," she said.
The actress was first introduced to Bollywood style of dancing when she was participating in "So you think You Can Dance".
"We did a lot of research and watched Bollywood films," she said and added that acting in a full-fledged Bollywood film has been one of her dreams since.
"I really didn't know that I would get this opportunity. It is like a dream come true for me."
Post "ABCD", she hasn't got more offers, but keen to play long innings in the Hindi film industry.
"I have not got any offers as yet but I would love to work again in a Bollywood film. I am meeting people at the moment. I guess I have fallen in love with Bollywood," she said.
"ABCD" also stars Prabhudheva and Ganesh Acharya.
