Over the weekend, Sajid Khan released the promo of the Naino Mein Sapna song from his upcoming film Himmatwala. The director released the promo on the dance reality show he judges in the presence of his film's hero Ajay Devgn.
As soon as the promos began airing, Bappi Lahiri received calls as the music has been credited to Sajid-Wajid! His name did not figure even as the original composer like it did in the case of the lyricist.
Says the veteran composer-singer's son Bappa, `We received several calls. As dad has sung another track in the film, he did not want to make a noise about it. But the Naino Mein Sapna is one of his biggest compositions. The present generation does not know this. All that a singer and composer can ask for is due credit.`
Sajid admits, Yes, there was an error from the promo department. It has been rectified. Bappida is like family and I am proud to have two of his hit songs in my film.`
