In the film, Jackky plays a boy from a chawl.
He says initially Priyadarshan was not very confident if he would fit into the role.
"When it was being conceptualised that was the biggest question mark. I am playing a guy from chawls. Priyadarshan sir didn't know if I would be able to pull it off," he said.
But the 28-year-old seems to be content with his performance.
"It was good... We are very happy. I am sure the audience will like it too," he said.
Produced by Vashu Bhagnani, "Rangrezz" also features Priya Anand, Rajpal Yadav and Amitosh Nagpal. It hit theatres March 21.
