"A lot of people like Arshad as an actor, be it 'Munnabhai' (franchise), 'Ishqiya', 'Seher', 'Golmaal' (franchise) or even 'Dhamaal' because his comic timing is brilliant," Subhash said here Thursday in an interview.
"He is a complete actor and he has shown what he can do as an actor a lot of times. It is a different thing that he is mostly offered comedies but I believe he can do all kinds of roles," added Kapoor.
Arshad plays the title role in his film "Jolly LLB" and Subhash says he has tried to portray what he witnessed as a journalist in Delhi courts.
"When I was a journalist in Delhi, I used my experience in the courts there to write 'Jolly LLB'. I felt that our real courts and the courtrooms shown in Hindi films are very different," Subhash, whose satirical comedy "Phas Gaye Re Obama" was applauded by the audiences, said.
"So I felt it is an interesting space, a lot of funny things also happen in courts, you can spend a lot of time just observing things," he added.
"Jolly LLB" also features Boman Irani, Amrita Rao and hits theatres March 15.
