"It is a well known fact that the 10 terrorists from the terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba from Pakistan had attacked Mumbai, and that is something that the Dubai censors have been shying away from showing, " said a source from the film's team.
The Bahrain and the Oman governments, however, have cleared the film and viewers from Emirates may travel to Oman over the weekend to watch the movie, the source added.
The 2008 terror attack, which shook Mumbai, left 166 people dead.
In the film, Nana Patekar plays a joint commissioner of police facing an enquiry over the attacks, while Sanjeev Jaiswal will be seen as terrorist Ajmal Kasab, whose death sentence was executed recently.
The film, releasing in India Friday, also features Atul Kulkarni and Ganesh Yadav.
"The Attacks of 26/11" was also specially screened for politicians, at the capital's Films Division Auditorium at Mahadev Road Wednesday. L.K Advani was present along with various other leaders, including Shahnawaz Hussain, Sanjay Nirupam, Rajeev Pratap Rudy, Naveen Jindal, Balbir Punj, Raj Babbar and Ram Vilas Paswan.
