"Kai Po Che!" released Friday, collected Rs.6.25 crore Saturday, Rs.7.35 crore on Sunday, Rs.3.25 crore on Monday, Rs.2.95 crore on Tuesday, Rs.2.7 crore on crore making the total at Rs.27 crore.
A big screen adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's novel "The 3 Mistakes of My Life", the film released on 1, 000 screens across the country.
Produced by UTV Motion Pictures, "Kai Po Che!" is made at a budget of Rs.12 crore and fetaures Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Raj Kumar Yadav.
In the overseas market, the film was released in a total of 250 screens, including 109 in the US, 54 in Britain, 35 in the Gulf regin, and 12 in Australia.
The movie collected $572, 954 and $163, 666 in the US and Britain market respectively, while in the Gulf market it collected approximately $305, 000 and for the world the collections were at round about $170, 000.
"'Kai Po Che!' has received an incredible positive word of mouth in all overseas markets. We are very happy to see a movie of this genre with new cast perform well in theatres across the world.
