The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has questioned Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, who is a co-owner of the cricket team Kings XI Punjab, in connection to the alleged irregularities in the conduct of the second edition of the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL).

According to reports, the Bollywood actress was questioned on Tuesday over alleged Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) violations by her IPL team during the second edition of the tournament.

Zinta's statement was recorded for more than 10 hours, reports said.

The second edition of the tournament was held in South Africa in 2009.

In February, the ED sent a notice of Rs 100 crore to Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty's IPL team Rajasthan Royals for allegedly violating the FEMA.
