"Yes, in the film Emraan pays tribute to Gulzar saab in a sequence. We thought of a fresh way and made it look more realistic," Iyer told.
In the song "Yaaram", Emraan pays tribute to Guljar. It is a party song, which will see the actor coming to the bash with a book written by Guljar, opening it and singing a song from the book.
"Instead of just having one of his songs, we have made it more realistic," he added.
Co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj, "Ek Thi Daayan" also features Konkona Sen Sharma, Kalki Koechlin and Huma Qureshi, among others. The film is slated for April 18 release.
