Abhay made his acting debut in Bollywood with the film 'Socha Na Tha' in 2005 and went on to be a favourite face of crossover movies and films with unusual scripts. His second film was 'Ahista Ahista' in 2006.
His release, 'Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd'. had a multi-star cast and emerged as a box office success. Abhay's performance in the film was noted and received critical appreciation.
He received success with 'Ek Chalis Ki Last Local', and 'Manorama Six Feet Under', and the later won the Best Film at the Mahindra Indo-American Arts Council Film Festival in New York City. He also won Best Actor award for his role for the same.
Abhay, who has carved a niche for himself delivered some off-the-track yet successful films including 'Dev.D', 'Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!', 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' and 'Shanghai'.
His upcoming films include 'Raanjhnaa', 'Rock The Shaadi' and 'Junction'.
Alia Bhatt on the other hand is a newcomer to Bollywood.
Born to Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan, Alia made her first appearance in the film 'Sangharsh' (1999) starring Akshay Kumar and Priety Zinta as a child artist.
Just out of school, she made her Bollywood debut with Karan Johar's 'Student of the Year' along with two more newcomers Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan.
Her first venture turned out to be a success and he will be seen once again in KJo's next film '2 States' alongwith Arjun Kapoor.
Alia has also bagged Imtiaz Ali's film 'Highway', where she will be starring opposite to Randeep Hooda.
