He had teamed up with Rajat Barmecha in "Udaan" and now the actor is seen with Saqib Saleem and Rhea Chakraborty in his just released "Mere Dad Ki Maruti".
"The film belongs to these people (Saqib and Rhea). I just do my bit and leave. I enjoy working with such people. They are the future of the industry," said Ram.
"I would say that our future is very bright because they are so hard working, so sincere and want to do good work. It's enjoyable working with such people," the 39-year-old said at a radio station where he was present with Saqib and Rhea to promote the film.
Ram's last film "Student of The Year" saw him share screen space with three newcomers - Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt.
In "Mere Dad Ki Maruti", Ram plays a strict father whose son, played by Saqib, loses his car.
Ram says as a teenager he was even more mischievous.
"What Saqib does with me in the film is nothing. He is very nice. I can't even tell you the kind of mischiefs I have done. I hit two of dad's cars in one night, can you imagine. When my dad came back from the tour, he had to hire a car," said the actor, who is also seen in the male lead in popular TV show "Bade Achhe Lagte Hain".
Directed by Ashima Chibber, "Mere Dad Ki Maruti" released Friday.
