Why Vipul Shah wanted his heroine Pooja Chopra to wear a different coloured saree in 'Commando'

With Katrina Kaif wearing a black saree in the popular track from Vipul Shah's Singh Is Kinng, Teri Ore went on to become a chartbuster. However, the producer was unwilling to have a deja vu moment when he realised his upcoming film's heroine Pooja Chopra too was sporting a black saree in a song.


The producer put his foot down and asked the designers to give Pooja a different saree. A source says, `Recently the film's lead actors Vidyut Jamwal and Pooja had shot a song in Bhuj. Shooting in the desert, Vipul was keen to recreate the magic of Teri Ore. However, he was very clear that he didn't want the song to be a copy.`

The producer felt that everyone who had seen Katrina shimmering in her black saree in Singh Is Kinng would go back in the moment.

The source adds, ` To bring out Pooja's look, the designer had to change to a different coloured saree and it suited her fine.`

However, Vidyut is said to be wearing white in the song, exactly like Akshay Kumar sported in the previous film. Vipul remained unavailable for comment.
