David Dhawan's Chashme Baddoor is a little more than two weeks away from its release date and seems like controversies around the film are already steaming up. After rumours of the original filmmakers being miffed with the remake, now it's David's turn to be annoyed.
And it is none other than lead actor Ali Zafar who is the reason behind the director's ire. The singer-actor has gone back on his promise of being present during the film's promotions and has disappeared from the scene.
A source from the production unit says, `Ali promoted the film only for one day. He has given all his dates for the shoot of director E Niwas's next project. Ali has already left for London, leaving the makers of his previous film feeling handicapped. `
In fact, the actor apparently has not even confirmed his dates till the release of the film, to support and be part of any promotional activity.
The source adds, `In fact, only Siddharth, Divyendu Sharma and Taapsee are promoting Chashme Baddoor. Is Ali too busy to promote David's film? ` The actor and the makers of the film remained unavailable for comment.
