Padmalaya Films has revived Sunny Deol's Dhool, a remake of a Telugu blockbuster. Last year, the production house announced the film in collaboration with Zee Telefilms, but the project didn't take off.

Now, Padmalaya has decided to produce the film independently and rope in Guddu Dhanoa as director. Before the film was put on hold, Sameera Reddy, Amisha Patel and Bhoomika Chawla were considered for the role opposite Deol.

Dhanoa plans to begin shooting in September. "We haven't finalised the leading lady yet," he says. Himesh Reshammiya, Sameer and Anees Bazmi will work on the tunes, lyrics and dialogues respectively.

Incidentally, Dhanoa has just wrapped up work on Deodhar Gandhi starring Deol again. This Vijayta Films' production slated for a Diwali release.
