"With directors turning to acting, I think the stars have reason to feel threatened. But seriously, I'm glad Karan has agreed to be in my film. He'll play himself," Ghosh tells.
Johar had started his career as a child actor in the TV serial "Indradhanush" and later as Shah Rukh Khan's buddy in "Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge".
"I'm also getting Juhi Chawla to make an appearance in my film. I can't imagine making a film without her. She's such a fine human being."
Vivek Oberoi plays the lead in 'Home Delivery'. Ghosh, whose "Jhankar Beats" has gone on to be a cult hit, has been struggling to put together his post-debut film for nearly two years now.
"It took me six months to write my script. And then began the casting. Besides Vivek, I've Boman Irani, Ayesha Takia and Mahima Chowdhary."
Shabbir Boxwallah, a close associate of Rajiv Rai, will produce the film for Sahara and Percept Films. Like "Jhankar Beats", Ghosh's new venture will have music by Vishal-Shekhar.
"I'm sorry but I can't make a film without music. I've already recorded the title song. Someone up there will love it," says the young director who lost his father recently.
Ghosh describes his new film as an emotional comedy. "There are naughty and risqué jokes. Then there're the naughty and nice jokes, which one can share in civil company. My 'Home Delivery' falls in that category."
He admits he's gone to this project only because his film with Amitabh Bachchan got delayed.
"I was dying to make my dream film 'Borivili' with Bachchan. But that's got into a slight problem. I'm not leaving this industry until I make my one film with Bachchan. So if they want me out, they had better make sure I get to make Borivili."
Interestingly, Ghosh himself faced the camera for a cameo in "My Brother Nikhil". "Yeah, I thought I gave the best performance in '...Nikhil'!" says Ghosh.
