After playing a small town girl from the heartlands in her debut film Gangs of Wasseypur and a Punjab kudi in Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana, Huma Qureshi finally gets a chance to be an urban girl in Kannan Iyer's upcoming film.
The actress, who has always been seen in salwar kurtas on the screen, will be seen in the Emraan Hashmi-starrer in Western wear.
Says a source close to the actress, `Due to her character requirements in her earlier two films, the general perception of her was that of being a desi girl. Both the films had a similar styling. But in her new film, she finally gets a chance to shed her rustic image.
Huma plays Emraan's love interest in the film. As she essays a smart and confident girl from Mumbai, her styling is more uptown. Adds the source, `It will come as a pleasant surprise to see the salwar kameez clad Wasseypur girl in a mod makeover.`
Even in her public appearances, Huma has preferred to stick to her screen image. Looks like after this film, Huma is in a mood to reinvent herself.
