And in Anil Kumar's (former assistant to director N Chandra) upcoming film No Rules For Fools, the actress will play a streetwalker for the first time.
Says Raima, `I was very sceptical and I told that to the director when he came to narrate his film to me.`
According to the actress, her character holds a pivotal role in the film's storyline.
Raima states, `Although it is not a romantic track, it is an integral character in the film. She has a different side to her, as she loves reciting verses and one-liners very often found scribbled behind long-distance buses and trucks. It was quite challenging for me.`
Though she has been away from Bollywood, the actress has been busy with her Bengali film assignments. Raima is waiting for the release of her National Award winning film Shabdo and has also completed two other Bengali films, directed by Sashwata Chatterjee.
The actress says, `I guess people in Mumbai think I have shifted to Kolkata. In fact, I am very happy with the kind of films I have been doing.`
The actress will also be playing a negative character for the first time in Chatterjee's C/o Sir.
