Suri offered him the song from 'Aashiqui-2' saying it was to be in memory of his late father, Daksh, who passed away a few weeks before the release of his 'Murder-2'. Producer Mahesh Bhatt felt that no voice other than Mustafa's would suit the film's highlight song.
Remarks Zahid from the UK, "This track appears in the climax of the film. I promised Mohit that I'll make the audience cry when they walk out!" He adds, "The track has a special place in my heart also because during its dubbing, my manager and friend Faisal's mother suddenly passed away in Lahore. I was in shock."
Zahid, who recently rendered 'Hum Jee Lenge' for 'Murder-3', has also rendered a romantic number ('Yeh Junoon') for John Abraham and Kangana Ranaut in the forthcoming 'Shootout At Wadala', directed by Sanjay Gupta. "That's another special number for a special someone," he smiles. "It's going to rock in the film."
