The actress said that since she knew Neil already, it was easier for her to shoot some of the scenes with him.
"Neil is a friend and he has helped me a lot with acting. It is my first romantic film. He made me feel comfortable," she told.
"Shortcut Romeo" is the remake of southern film "Thiruttu Payale". But Puja said she was warned not to watch the Tamil film.
"I asked my director (Susi Ganeshan) if I could see the film, but he said that that would change my natural way of acting. Actresses in south are very different from actresses in Bollywood," she said.
A former beauty queen, Puja has earlier been a part of the film "F.A.L.T.U". She also features in the upcoming "Go Goa Gone".
The genres of all three projects have been diverse and the actress feels that this is the beauty of acting.
"Both ('Go Goa Gone' and 'Shortcut Romeo') are sweet and beautiful in their own way. Every girl would love to do romantic films. But this is the beauty of acting that you can enjoy everything. I want to live every character," she said.
Post the two films, she doesn't have anything else in the pipeline as of now.
"I have just finished these two films in one year. I don't know how these big actors finish five to six films together. For me, two were only enough," she said. `The 400 Crore Price Is Highly Unlikely`... Star India Reveals All On The The Deal With Ajay Devgn, And Why Only Superstars With Family Images Are Welcome
